Definitive Occasion first came together in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas, in 2012. “Spherical Operator” was formed in the winter of 2010 in Seattle, Washington. The band’s founding members, twin brothers Jake and Matt Lyons, were Physics students at the University of Washington, and thus they named their band after a complex physics term.
