“Paperback Melodies”

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
G Em C D
I found you in the pages, amidst the ink and lines,
G Em C D
Cooking up a storm, in a world that’s not mine.
G Em C D
Lost in the stories, we dance under the moon,
G Em C D
A symphony of words, playing our tune.

[Chorus]
G Em C D
Caught in our paperback melodies,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, where we found our ease.
G Em C D
Leafy session in the twilight, where we found our peace,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, our love will never cease.

[Verse 2]
G Em C D
With your laughter in my ears, and your smile in my heart,
G Em C D
I knew from the beginning, it was a perfect start.
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, under a lamp light’s glow,
G Em C D
Our love is a story, only we know.

[Chorus]
G Em C D
Caught in our paperback melodies,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, where we found our ease.
G Em C D
Leafy session in the twilight, where we found our peace,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, our love will never cease.

Limp Result

Backstory:
Limp Result was born out of a basement in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, in the late 90s. Four childhood friends, Kevin Michaels (vocals and guitar), Billy Thompson (bass), Chris Rodgers (drums), and Eddie Walters (keyboard), began jamming together in high school, building a strong bond over their shared love of music. The band name, Limp Result, was inspired by a remark disdainfully uttered by their school gym teacher about their collective athletic prowess. The guys decided to embrace their unathletic past and channel that energy into their music.

The band had a difficult start, performing for small crowds in grimy basements and local dive bars. However, their quirky humor, raw energy, and unabashedly honest lyrics soon caught the attention of a local record producer, who helped them record their first album. Their breakthrough came with their hit single, “Basement Dreams,” which climbed the charts and turned the once ridiculed band into a local sensation.

Measly Record

Backstory:

College pals, Pete Thompson (lead vocals, guitar), Harry Davis (bass), Mike Rodriguez (drums), and Sam Bell (keyboard, backing vocals), started the band as a means to express their shared love for music and to escape the mundane routine of student life. Their idea was simple – create music that tells a story, music that resonates with the listener’s emotion and stays with them long after the chords have faded away.

Their creative journey began playing in small gigs and university events. They gradually gained popularity, becoming the “house band” at the local watering hole, The Dusty Saddle. It was at one of these shows where they were scouted by a producer who saw potential in their raw, emotional performances. The rest, as they say, is history.
