Backstory:
Delectable Ray was formed in the coastal city of San Diego, California in the summer of 2010. The founding members, guitarist Jonah McKay and drummer Ryan Walker, had a shared love for surfing and making music. After a day of riding waves, they’d jam out on the beach, their sound carried by the salty ocean breeze. As their fan base began to grow, they decided to take their music to a more professional level. They added bassist Alex Cooper and singer Lizzy Monroe to the mix. Their shared passion for music and their connection as friends made a powerful combination that was reflected in their music.

Delectable Ray’s music is best described as surf rock, with elements of indie and alternative. Their sound is characterized by jangly guitar riffs, rhythmic drumming, laid-back bass lines, and Lizzy’s soulful, powerful vocals.
