High Assurance is a band that found its roots in the small coastal town of Wilmington, North Carolina. Band members, Jake Donovan (lead vocals, guitar), Sarah Lindley (drums, backing vocals), and Noah Conner (bass, backing vocals) met in high school where they were all part of the school’s underappreciated jazz band. Despite their shared passion for jazz, the trio felt something was missing. They decided to take a leap and started experimenting with indie rock elements, which became the foundation of their unique sound. It was during one of their late-night jam sessions in Sarah’s garage that the group forged their identity, naming themselves “High Assurance” to represent their unwavering belief in their music and the unity it creates amongst them.
