1. Backstory:
Born out of a shared love for indie music and a passion for preserving truth in a world of pervasive misinformation, Truthful Camera was formed in 2013 in a small garage in Seattle, Washington. Founding members, Ben Acker and Riley Boyd, both songwriters and instrumentalists, had met at a local open mic night. Over shared drinks and shared dreams, they discovered a common vision for a band that would reflect the raw honesty and emotional depth in their songwriting. They moved in together and turned their garage into a makeshift studio, working tirelessly to bring their vision to life. After recruiting childhood pals, Billy Anderson on drums and Casey Martin on bass, they completed the band lineup. Their debut album “Unfiltered Journeys” came out in 2015 and gained attention in the local indie scene for its candid storytelling and emotive, captivating melodies.
