Born in the gritty underbelly of Seattle, Washington, Austere Chemical emerged from the smoky haze of underground dive bars and grimy rock clubs in 2010. The band is composed of four childhood friends: Ethan Parker on vocals and rhythm guitar, Jake Simmons on lead guitar, Oliver Mason on bass, and Sam Reynolds on drums. Together, they bonded over their shared love of raw, gut-wrenching music and desire to create something distinct in an age of overproduced pop. The group honed their sound in grungy garages, basements, and eventually the local music scene, cultivating a passionate fan base that thrived on their electrifying live performances.
Austere Chemical’s rise to prominence was swift and somewhat unexpected.
