Backstory:
Born from a shared love of vintage vinyl records, Positive Cellar was formed in 2011 by childhood friends John “Rhythm” Rhys and Adam “Ace” Armitage. Both were raised in the culturally rich city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The friends spent their youth exploring the city’s soul, blues, and jazz scenes by day, and at night, they’d retreat into the cool, subterranean, cob-webbed cellar of John’s old house, where they’d spin records, jam, and dream about creating their own band. Their chosen band name, Positive Cellar, reflects these cherished memories.
Genre:
Their unique sound falls under the umbrella of Alternative Rock with tinges of Blues and Soul, giving them a distinct flavor amidst their contemporaries.
