Backstory:
Formed in the bustling music hubs of Austin, Texas in 2008, Ruddy Organ, was the brainchild of childhood friends and music enthusiasts, Mike Stone and Jim Carlton. Mike, who was an amateur organ player, stumbled upon an old, rusty organ in a yard sale. The organ emitted such a unique, vintage sound, which was the inspiration behind the naming of the band. Joined by Sarah Thomas on the drums, and Jake Lind on the bass, they decided to embark on a musical journey that embodied their shared love for music and their unadulterated admiration for classic rock bands who inspired them.
Their journey was not always smooth, but they remained undeterred. They played in local bars and music festivals, slowly gaining a dedicated fan base with their distinctive sound, vibrant energy, and raw lyrics. Ruddy Organ’s breakthrough came in 2012 with a performance at SXSW, which led to their first record deal and made them one of the most promising up and coming bands in the industry.

“Beyond the Crimson Sky”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am Em
Walking down the old town road,
C G
Underneath the crimson sky.

Feeling light, carrying the load,
C G
Of times gone by.

D Em
Beyond the crimson sky,
C G
Where dreams are free to fly.

Just you n’ I, under the crimson sky,
C G
With music as our only tie.

Footsteps echo in the night,

Whispering tales untold.

In the glow of the pale moonlight,
C G
Our melodies unfold.

Beyond the crimson sky,
C G
Where dreams refuse to die.

Just you n’ I, under the crimson sky,
C G
Our song, our undying lullaby.
Fan Testimonial:
Hi, my name’s Lisa Stevens, and I am a die-hard fan of Ruddy Organ. The first time I saw them perform at a local bar, I could feel their energy lighting up the place. I particularly love how they blend classic rock with a touch of blues, creating a sound that’s nostalgic yet refreshing. Their song “Beyond the Crimson Sky” is my anthem. It’s raw, it’s real, it’s poetry set to music. Ruddy Organ has a way of making you feel seen and heard through their lyrics, and that’s why they’re my favorite band.
