Backstory:
Starchy Fire was born out of the shared love for music among four college friends: James Brooks (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Timothy Adams (Drums), Charles Richards (Bass), and Daniel Holloway (Keyboard). Initially, they started as a garage band in their hometown of Asheville, North Carolina in 2009. The name ‘Starchy Fire’ was inspired by their favorite late-night snack, flaming hot Cheetos, and their shared appreciation for absurdist humor. After winning a local battle of the bands competition, they gained local fame and soon began touring in the local music scene. Their unique sound, fueled by their deep-rooted friendship and shared passion, quickly gained a dedicated fan base.
After years of playing local gigs, they were discovered by a major record label in 2014. Their debut album, “FireFry”, was a commercial success and solidified their place in the music industry. Starchy Fire’s journey is a testament to their dedication to their craft and their relentless pursuit of their shared dream.
