Backstory:
In an industrial town where music collided with blue-collar realities, ‘Disguised Wage’ came into existence. This band was formed by four friends who used to work together in a steel mill – Steve ‘Stitch’ Mitchell on drums, Reggie ‘Reg’ Thompson on bass, Jimmy ‘Jazz’ O’Brien on lead guitar, and Casey ‘Cage’ Douglas on vocals. After spending years in the grinding routine of their jobs, the four friends decided to channel their frustrations, experiences, and emotions into music. They used to rehearse in a shabby garage after their shifts. One day, they were overheard by a local record store owner who was impressed with their raw energy and unique sound. He introduced them to a few people in the industry, and ‘Disguised Wage’ was born.

“Veins of Steel”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] They say we’re born to labor, [D] born to sweat and bleed, [Em]
In the heart of this metal beast, [C] our dreams they feed. [G]
[D] Struggle to make ends meet, [Em] never a moment’s peace, [C]
[G] But we still find a rhythm, [D] in the heartbeats [Em] of these streets. [C]
(Chorus)
[G] We got veins of steel, [D] and hearts that won’t break,
[Em] Living on prayers, [C] and the risks we take,
[G] We’re the voice of the voiceless, [D] the unsung and the real,
[Em] We’re Disguised Wage, [C] with our veins of steel. [G]
(Verse 2)
[D] We’re the rhythm of the factories, [Em] the pulse of the town, [C]
[G] Writing our stories, [D] in a world that’s turning ’round. [Em]
[Em] We’ve got a song to sing, [C] for the love and the strife,
[G] We’re Disguised Wage, [D] and this is our life. [Em]
(Chorus)
[G] We got veins of steel, [D] and hearts that won’t break,
[Em] Living on dreams, [C] and the risks we take,
[G] We’re the voice of the voiceless, [D] the unsung and the real,
[Em] We’re Disguised Wage, [C] with our veins of steel. [G]
The Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a guy named Charlie who has been with them since their first gig in their hometown. Charlie is a welder by day and an ardent music lover by night. He discovered the band when he heard their music echoing out of the garage during one of their practice sessions. He’s been to every gig since then, and he’s known to say, “Disguised Wage isn’t just a band, they’re the voice of every working person. Their music isn’t about escaping reality, it’s about embracing it, living it, and finding the beauty in it. That’s why they’re my favorite band.”
