Superior Shirt

Backstory:
Superior Shirt was formed in a small Midwestern town, where four friends bonded over their shared passion for music and sartorial style. The band name originated from a local thrift store’s sign that had been humorously vandalized to read ‘Superior Shirt’ instead of ‘Superior Shift’. The friends found it amusing and took it as their band name. The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Dave ‘Denim’ Johnson, bassist Sammy ‘Silk’ Stevens, drummer Pete ‘Polyester’ Thompson, and keyboardist Rob ‘Rayon’ Robinson. They started as a garage band, playing in local pubs and small venues in their town.

By 2017, they were creating waves in the local music scene with their original songs and energetic performances. Their big break came when a viral video of their live performance caught the attention of a record label. They were signed on, and the rest is history. Despite their fame, they still maintain their small-town charm and love for thrift store fashion.

Title:
“Patchwork Heart”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
C G
Wore my heart out on my sleeve,
Am Em
Just like a Superior Shirt,
F C
Stitched with threads of love and belief,
G C
For all the love I’d exert.

(Verse 2)
C G
Every tear was sewn back strong,
Am Em
With every heartache, I grew,
F C
Every note in every song,
G C
Was a patch of love, tried and true.

(Chorus)
F C
Patchwork heart, colors bold and bright,
G Am
Woven in the fabric of the night,
F C
Frayed at the edges, but it’s alright,
G C
For it’s a Superior Shirt, in the moonlight.

(Verse 3)
C G
Through the highs and the lows,
Am Em
My Superior shirt stays true,
F C
In the rhythm, it ebbs and flows,
G C
Singing songs of love, old and new.

(Chorus)
F C
Patchwork heart, colors bold and bright,
G Am
Woven in the fabric of the night,
F C
Frayed at the edges, but it’s alright,
G C
For it’s a Superior Shirt, in the moonlight.
