Poised Cap

Backstory: The members of the Poised Cap first met in the bustling city of Seattle in the early 2000s. Lucas “Lucky” Hartley, the band’s charismatic and soulful lead singer, was working in a local coffee shop, brewing up java by day and penning heartfelt lyrics by night. He crossed paths with gifted drummer, Ellie “El” Boyd, when she began working at the same coffee shop. The pair’s shared love for music ignited a friendship. Lucky’s childhood friend, Mason “Mase” Parker, a talented guitarist, soon moved to the city, and El’s school friend, Jax “J” Peterson, who played bass, joined too. And so, Poised Cap was formed.

Poised Cap’s music quickly gained traction in the local Seattle scene. Their raw, emotive lyrics partnered with their dynamic sound resonated with many. Poised Cap’s journey from brewing coffee to creating music became the talk of the town, and soon their talent was recognized by a major record label.
