Backstory:
Immaterial Reflection was formed in the culturally diverse city of Toronto, Canada, in 2013 by lead vocalist and guitarist, Sam Arrington and drummer, Jacob Muller. Both were students at the time, studying Music and English Literature respectively, who bonded over their shared love of alternative music and philosophy. They started as a garage band, crafting their unique sound while playing at college events and local bars. When they were discovered by a talent scout from ‘Echo Records’, there was no looking back. The addition of Megan Foster on bass and Jasper Riley on keyboard completed their lineup.

Their music is largely inspired by their experiences and the diverse culture of Toronto; it’s a reflection of the world as they see it. Their lyrics carry deep philosophical undertones, and they use their music as a channel to express the tangible and intangible aspects of existence. While they have faced numerous challenges, their unwavering passion for music and unstoppable spirit has helped them transform into a band that is loved globally.
