Backstory:
Formed in an underground garage in the heart of Seattle in 1998, Gaseous Cigarette found their name in a discarded science magazine article about the dangers of smoking. The band members – lead vocalist Jamie ‘the Jet’ Thomson, bassist Rex ‘the Raptor’ Williams, lead guitarist Mason ‘Mastermind’ Daniels, and drummer Lily ‘Lethal’ Simmons – were friends in high school who shared a burning passion for rebellious music and unconventional ideas. Gaseous Cigarette started performing at local bars and gradually gained a cult following. Though their fans were few at first, their unique music and electrifying performances steadily gathered a crowd. Their big break came when a talent scout happened to catch one of their performances, and they were quickly signed to an indie label.
