Backstory:

Downright Engineer was born in the heartland of Dayton, Ohio, in the early 2000s. Four engineering students, Dan, Rich, Imran, and George found common ground in their shared love for music. They spent countless nights in their college dorm rooms, strumming guitars, banging on makeshift drums, and belting out vocals until the campus security was called for noise complaints. Their passion for music and their backgrounds in engineering gave them a unique perspective on creating music. They started experimenting with unconventional instruments and sound techniques, leading to a truly unique sound that resonated with a wide audience.

The band’s breakthrough came when a local radio host discovered one of their homemade demos in a record store in 2005. The DJ played their song during the morning drive, and Downright Engineer was on its way to stardom. Since then, the band has released four studio albums and has toured internationally, gaining a loyal fan base.
