Backstory:
New Mirror was birthed in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee in 2009. Childhood friends Alex, Morgan, and Casey had always shared a mutual dream of starting a band, so when a high school talent show came around, they decided it was their chance to shine. They combined their talents, Alex on drums, Morgan on guitar and vocals, and Casey on bass and backup vocals, and started their journey. The name “New Mirror” was inspired by the band’s belief in self-reflection and growth. They believe that music is a mirror into the soul and every new song is a new mirror reflecting the band’s journey and growth.

Title:
“Shattered Reflection”
Full Song Lyrics with chord progression:
(Verse 1: Em, G, D, A)
Em G
In the midst of the night, under neon lights,
D A
Caught a glimpse of my shattered reflection.
Em G
Fighting back the tears, drowning in my fears,
D A
Longing for a sense of direction.
(Chorus: C, G, D, Em)
C G
Shattered reflection, where do I go?
D Em
Gazing at pieces of a soul I used to know.
C G
In every fragment, I see our past,
D Em
Yet here I stand, alone in the aftermath.
(Verse 2: Em, G, D, A)
Em G
Through broken shards, seeing old scars,
D A
A journey of love, mistakes, and correction.
Em G
Trying to put it back, the wholeness that I lack,
D A
In this silhouette of my own reflection.
(Chorus: C, G, D, Em)
C G
Shattered reflection, can’t turn back time,
D Em
Each sharp piece, a memory of our prime.
C G
In this mirror, I see our end,
D Em
Lesson learned, love is hard to comprehend.

“New Mirror is not just a band to me, they’re my therapy. Their music resonates deeply with me and their lyrics depict the rollercoaster of emotions I go through. They remind me that it’s okay not to have it together all the time and that life, like a mirror, is about reflecting, growing, and evolving. I can’t thank New Mirror enough for their music.”
