Backstory:
Leafy Session was formed in the coffee-scented corners of a small bookstore in Asheville, North Carolina. This close-knit group of friends, consisting of lead singer and guitarist, Thomas Alden, bassist, Lila Patterson, and drummer, Robby Moore, found themselves bonding over their mutual love for music and literature, often spending their afternoons jamming amidst the rustling pages of their favorite novels. What started as casual jam sessions soon turned into a more serious endeavor, and Leafy Session was born. Their name is a tribute to their unconventional beginnings, their music an ode to the peace and serenity they experienced within the leafy sanctuary of the bookstore.

“Paperback Melodies”
Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
G Em C D
I found you in the pages, amidst the ink and lines,
G Em C D
Cooking up a storm, in a world that’s not mine.
G Em C D
Lost in the stories, we dance under the moon,
G Em C D
A symphony of words, playing our tune.
[Chorus]
G Em C D
Caught in our paperback melodies,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, where we found our ease.
G Em C D
Leafy session in the twilight, where we found our peace,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, our love will never cease.
[Verse 2]
G Em C D
With your laughter in my ears, and your smile in my heart,
G Em C D
I knew from the beginning, it was a perfect start.
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, under a lamp light’s glow,
G Em C D
Our love is a story, only we know.
[Chorus]
G Em C D
Caught in our paperback melodies,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, where we found our ease.
G Em C D
Leafy session in the twilight, where we found our peace,
G Em C D
In the corners of a bookstore, our love will never cease.
Fan Testimonial:
Our favorite fan is Mary Golding. She has followed our story from the very beginning, attending our performances even before we had a name. Mary’s testimonial: “Leafy Session is more than just a band to me. Their music is like a warm cup of coffee on a rainy day. It’s comforting, it’s real, it’s raw. Every lyric, every strum of the guitar, every beat of the drum seems to speak directly to my soul. They are my favorite because their music is a beautiful mix of simplicity and depth, just like a well-written novel.”
