Urban Bag

Backstory:
Urban Bag is the brainchild of childhood friends and music enthusiasts, Harald “Harry” Stratton and Matthew “Matt” Taylor. Growing up in the heart of Chicago, they witnessed the urban struggle firsthand and used their experiences to create music that resonated with the common people. They started as humble buskers, singing their hearts out in subway stations, and eventually caught the attention of a local music producer who saw the raw talent and potential these young men possessed. They were signed to an indie label in 2005, and since then, they’ve been creating thought-provoking music that perfectly captures the essence of city life.

Genre:
Urban Bag’s music can be best described as Urban Folk. It’s a unique blend of traditional folk music elements with contemporary city rhythms, layered with powerful storytelling lyrics. Their music has a raw, gritty feel to it that mirrors the roughness and unpredictability of city life.

One of their most popular tracks is “Concrete Jungle Melody”.

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
C#m
Concrete jungle, a symphony in grey,
A
Beneath the skyscrapers, where we lost and found our way,
E
Peddling dreams on the corner of the street,
F#m
In this city, we found our hearts’ beat.

(Chorus)
A
Oh, this Concrete jungle melody,
B
Speaks of love, loss, and the city’s legacy.
C#m
In the noise, we found serenity,
D
In the chaos, our unity.

(Verse 2)
C#m
Neon lights flicker, shadows playing hide and seek,
A
In the alleyways, we listened to the city speak.
E
With every echo, a story was heard,
F#m
In this city, we found our words.

(Chorus)
A
Oh, this Concrete jungle melody,
B
Tells tales of courage, and the urban odyssey.
C#m
In the silence, we found our harmony,
D
In the struggle, our victory.
