Failing Disaster

Backstory:
Failing Disaster is an indie rock band that sprung to life in the dark, moody corners of a nondescript garage in Portland, Oregon. Childhood friends, Ethan Campbell and Oliver Reed were high school misfits with a penchant for loud rock music, ramen noodles and philosophical debates. They started the band as a middle finger to the crushing expectations of society and a way to vent out their frustrations. When bassist Lucy Mitchell and drummer Toby Howard joined the duo, Failing Disaster’s signature blend of raw energy, melancholic lyrics, and punk-infused rock was born.

In an unsparing industry where commercial success often takes a toll on authenticity, Failing Disaster has managed to carve out a niche for themselves. Their music is a rebellious outcry, an unfiltered expression of their unique life experiences. Their palpable on-stage chemistry and disregard for fame has earned them a fiercely loyal fanbase.

Title:
“Lost in the Echoes”

Full Song Lyrics:

(V1)
[Am] We’re just two lost souls, [G] dancing in the shadows
[F] Screaming out in silence, [Em] Drowning in our woes
[Am] Painting our dreams on [G] this concrete canvas
[F] Life is but a bitter [Em] sweet fortress

(Chorus)
[Am] Lost in the echoes of [G] yesterday
[F] Trying to find our way in [Em] this disarray
[Am] We are the misfits, the [G] dreamers,
[F] Failing Disaster, the [Em] fighters

(V2)
[Am] Ink stained fingers, [G] strumming on heart strings
[F] We’re the voice of the voiceless, [Em] the outcast kings
[Am] In this world of chaos, [G] we’re the wild ones
[F] With songs in our hearts, [Em] we rise with the sun

(Chorus)
[Am] Lost in the echoes of [G] yesterday
[F] Trying to find our way in [Em] this disarray
[Am] We are the misfits, the [G] dreamers,
[F] Failing Disaster, the [Em] speakers

(Outro)
[Am] So here’s to the lost, [G] to the broken
[F] To the dreamers who keep [Em] on hoping
[Am] We’re Failing Disaster, [G] we’re your voice
[F] In this world full of noise, [Em] we’re your choice

Fan’s Testimonial:
My name is Lily Sullivan. Failing Disaster is more than just a band to me, they are my escape, my relief, my inspiration. Ollie’s sharp, expressive lyrics resonated with me at a time when I felt invisible. Lucy’s powerful bass lines are a heartbeat that keeps me going. And Ethan’s impassioned vocals and Toby’s thunderous drumming are the sounds of my rebellion. Their music isn’t just noise, it’s a dialogue, a conversation that makes me feel seen and heard. They’re my favorite, not because they’re perfect, but because they dare to embrace their imperfections. They are the voice of the outcasts, the misfits, the dreamers, and I am one of them.
