Backstory:
Affectionate Bottom was formed in the cool, rainy city of Seattle in 2012. The four high school buddies, Barry on guitar, Darren on drums, Terry on bass, and Jerry on vocals, decided to channel their shared love for music and their angst into something productive. They started out playing in their parents’ basements, transforming their frustrations into loud, empowering music. As they grew older and wiser, their music evolved to reflect their changing perspectives, bringing in more mature and complex themes. However, they never forgot their roots and always maintained an energy that captured the essence of their youth.

Title:
“Beyond the Grey Sky”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1 – C G Am Em)
Look in the mirror, what do you see?
A reflection lost in a sea of dreams
Life’s a maze, just astray
Can’t find my place in this crazy chase
(Chorus – Dm G C Em)
Beyond the grey sky, where stars align
An echo of laughter, a chime so fine
Digging through the rubble, for our prime
Beyond the grey sky, we’ll bide our time
(Verse 2 – C G Am Em)
Another day, another fight
Hold your head high, through day and night
In the chaos, you’re the light
Beyond the grey, it’s black and white
(Chorus – Dm G C Em)
Beyond the grey sky, where stars align
An echo of laughter, a chime so fine
Digging through the rubble, for our prime
Beyond the grey sky, we’ll bide our time
(Outro – C G Am Em)
From the ashes, we’ll arise
Beyond the grey sky, where hope lies
Through the turmoil, one thing’s clear
Beyond the grey sky, love is near.

Testimonial:
“Affectionate Bottom is simply the best band out there. Their music touches my soul like no other. Their lyrics speak to the realities of life, but always carry an undercurrent of hope. It’s like they’ve been through the same struggles as me, and they’re telling me it’s okay to feel this way. They are not just musicians, they’re story-tellers and poets. I’ve seen them live four times, and each time, it’s been an unforgettable experience. Affectionate Bottom is not just my favorite band, they’re part of my life.”
