Backstory:
Striped Celery is a quirky and refreshing band formed in 2007 in the lively city of Austin, Texas. The members, comprising of lead vocalist and bassist, Pete Watson, guitarist Mark Davenport, and drummer Susie Rodriguez, came together through their common love of music and a shared sense of humor. The band was named after a quirky incident where, during their first jam session, Pete brought a bunch of celery instead of chips. When Mark spotted a striped one, he remarked, “Striped Celery would be a unique band name!” and the rest, as they say, is history.
Striped Celery is known for their creativity, lively performances, and their ability to infuse humor and wit into their lyrics. Their unapologetic individuality and contagious energy have attracted a devoted fan base over the years.

Title:
“Talking to the Moon”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse]
G Em
Underneath the starlit sky, I’m all alone,
C D
Talking to the moon, on this old country road.
G Em
Passing by the houses, where the lights are all gone,
C D
Thinking about the times, when we were still young.
[Chorus]
G Em
Talking to the moon, wishing you were here,
C D
Underneath the same sky, but you’re nowhere near.
G Em
I’m just a fool, singing out my blues,
C D
Talking to the moon, still in love with you.
[Verse]
G Em
Every time I see your face, in the rearview,
C D
I’m reminded of the love, that was once so true.
G Em
Now I’m just a wanderer, walking in the night,
C D
Talking to the moon, under the pale moonlight.
[Chorus]
G Em
Talking to the moon, can you hear my voice?
C D
In the silence of the night, I have no other choice.
G Em
I’m just a dreamer, singing this sad tune,
C D
Talking to the moon, hoping to see you soon.
