Upset Servant

Backstory:
Upset Servant was formed in the bustling city of Austin, Texas, in the winter of 2013. The four members, lead vocalist and guitarist Sam ‘Sparrow’ Johnson, bassist Peter ‘Pistol’ Anderson, drummer Leo ‘Lion’ Taylor, and keyboardist Tim ‘Tiger’ Elliot, were former high school buddies who, after taking different paths in life, found themselves reunited by their shared love for music. After several jam sessions in Anderson’s basement, they decided to form a band, naming it ‘Upset Servant’ as a symbolic reference to their collective rebellion against societal norms and the conventional rules of music.

The band’s journey to success was not without struggles. Upset Servant played in numerous small gigs and music festivals, slowly building a dedicated fan base with their unique sound. They released their debut album ‘Servant No More’ in 2015, which catapulted them to local fame. Since then, they have released three more albums, each one a testament to their growth as artists and their relentless pursuit of musical innovation.

Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[D] Woke up this morning, [G] shackles on my feet
[A] Tied to convention, [D] but I won’t admit defeat
[D] I’ve been a servant, [G] bending to the rules
[A] But today’s the day, [D] no longer a fool

(Chorus)
[G] Chains Unbroken, [D] spirit’s free
[A] Upset Servant, [D] that’s me
[G] No more following, [D] blind and unsure
[A] We’re Upset Servants, [D] we endure

(Verse 2)
[D] We’ve seen the darkness, [G] we’ve felt the pain
[A] But we’re still standing, [D] stronger in the rain
[D] We’ve heard the lies, [G] we’ve seen the deceit
[A] But we’re still here, [D] we won’t retreat

(Chorus)
[G] Chains Unbroken, [D] spirit’s free
[A] Upset Servant, [D] that’s me
[G] No more silence, [D] we’ll make sure
[A] We’re Upset Servants, [D] we endure
