Backstory:
Formed in the hazy backrooms of Manchester’s underground music scene in 2006, Skinny Detail is the brainchild of frontman Rickie “Razor” Harrison and bassist Finn “Fumbles” Parsons. They bonded over their shared love for classic rock and the raw honesty of grunge music. After a chance encounter with multi-instrumentalist and music producer, Lisa “Lush” Sullivan at a local gig, the pair knew they’d struck gold, and the formation of Skinny Detail was inevitable.
Skinny Detail were initially known for their explosive live performances and their undeniable passion for music. Their first breakout single, “Abandoned Heart,” took the local radio stations by storm, and their rise to prominence in the British music scene was cemented. Since then, they’ve released three studio albums and toured extensively, gaining a dedicated fanbase who appreciate their distinctive sound and lyrical depth.

Title:
“Echoes in the Dark”
Full song lyrics:
Verse 1:
[C] In the whispers of the night, [G] under the star’s soft light,
[Am] We used to dance, [F] lost in each other’s sight,
[C] Now all that’s left is silence, [G] as cold as winter’s bite,
[Am] Your echoes in the dark, [F] my endless fight.
Chorus:
[C] Echoes in the dark, [G] tearing me apart,
[Am] Your memory’s a spark, [F] burning in my heart,
[C] Can’t find a way to start, [G] don’t know how to chart,
[Am] I’m just a lonely ark, [F] in this ocean of thwart.
Verse 2:
[C] The ghost of your laughter, [G] lingers in the air,
[Am] I reach out to capture, [F] but grasp only despair,
[C] The scent of your perfume, [G] a cruel, sweet snare,
[Am] It’s like salt in the wound, [F] a pain beyond compare.
(Repeat Chorus twice)
