Backstory:
Roasted Cannon came to life in the heart of Brooklyn in the summer of 2010. The founding members, Jasper “Jazz” Thompson and Mikey “Hammer” Hargrove, were both struggling musicians working their fingers to the bone while working at the same coffee shop. Their shared passion for music and their mutual desire to create something fresh and innovative led to the formation of the band. Soon, they were joined by drummer and percussionist, Benny “Beatmaker” Johnson, and bassist, Sam “Bassman” Smith.
Their journey to stardom wasn’t a straightforward one. The band endured several tough gigs, grueling nights, and nights where the only audience was the barkeep and a couple of regulars. Nevertheless, they remained resilient, honing their skills and developing a unique sound. Their breakthrough came in 2013 when a local radio station played their demo tape, earning them a considerable following. Now, they are known as one of the most enthralling live acts in their genre.
