Backstory:
Frilly Autonomy is a brainchild of two high school best friends, Tracey Hall and Parker Jones, who discovered their mutual love for music during their senior year. Their friendship was rooted in their shared affinity for quirky music, vintage fashion, and a passion for promoting individuality. As they entered college, their shared rooms in the dormitory became a makeshift studio where they’d experiment with their lyrics and tunes. It wasn’t long before they started performing at local bars and college events. The band was named “Frilly Autonomy” to exemplify their desire for freedom of expression and their love for all things whimsical and vintage.
Genre:
Frilly Autonomy primarily indulges in Indie Pop/Alternative Rock with an unmissable influence of vintage aesthetics in their music. Their unique style is a fusion of modern beats with old school rock n roll, often infused with thought-provoking lyrics.
Title:
Their self-proclaimed most meaningful song is “Paisley Promises.”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Em G
Paisley Promises, hung up on the wall,
D Am
Touched by time, but standing tall.
Em G
Hopes and dreams, in threads woven,
D Am
A tale of love, softly spoken.
(Chorus)
C G
Oh, the promises we make,
D Em
In the silhouettes of the heartache.
C G
Sewn into the fabric of our lives,
D Am
Are Paisley Promises that survive.
(Verse)
Em G
In the quiet corners of the night,
D Am
Underneath the muted moonlight.
Em G
We stitch our dreams, thread by thread,
D Am
On the canvas of our shared bed.
(Chorus)
C G
Oh, the promises we break,
D Em
In the shadows of the heartache.
C G
Woven into the tapestry of our lives,
D Am
Are Paisley Promises that survive.
