Backstory:
Productive Appearance was born in the bustling city of Seattle in 2015. It all started when lead singer and guitarist, Jake Richards, met drummer, Mike Walsh, in a local coffee shop. The two instantly hit it off over their shared love of music and desire to create something meaningful out of the ordinary. Jake’s high school friend, Sarah Langford, who was a talented bassist, joined the duo, and finally, with the addition of keyboardist, David Jones, the band was complete. Productive Appearance was more than just a band; it was a group of friends with a shared vision, using music as a tool for societal commentary and self-expression.
Productive Appearance spent countless hours practicing in Mike’s garage, perfecting their sound and creating unique melodies that set them apart. Their music was a fusion of their varying influences, from indie pop to punk rock. Their first gig at a local bar was a massive success, leading to a steady stream of performances and an increasing fan base. The band’s commitment to thought-provoking lyrics and captivating tunes quickly made them a favorite among Seattle’s music-loving community.

Title:
“Shapes in the Clouds”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am – C – G – D
Shadows on the pavement, whispers in the wind,
Asking all the questions, where do I begin?
Searching for the answers lost within my mind,
Chasing down a memory, leaving doubt behind.
(Chorus)
F – C – G
I see shapes in the clouds,
A story yet untold, a dream that’s so bold.
We’re writing our own script, making our own sound,
Finding our identity, in shapes in the clouds.
(Verse 2)
Am – C – G – D
Paths we have not taken, stars yet unseen,
Hopes and aspirations, what could’ve been.
In the canvas of the sky, we paint our own truth,
In the echoes of our music, we find our youth.
(Chorus)
F – C – G
I see shapes in the clouds,
A narrative of us, in harmonies we trust.
We’re telling our own tale, with rhythm so profound,
Creating our reality, in shapes in the clouds.
