Backstory:
Bulky Sum started off as an unconventional pairing of two high school friends, Calvin ‘Cal’ Murdock and Bradley ‘Brady’ Johnson. The duo first jammed together in Brady’s garage, trying their hands at various instruments and creating a unique sound that would later define their musical journey. Their shared love for music and their natural chemistry quickly transformed their hobby into something more serious. After years of honing their skills and experimenting with their sound, they decided to form a band and named it ‘Bulky Sum’ in homage to their collective weight and to highlight their music as the sum of all their shared experiences and influences.

Their professional journey began when they were spotted by a local music producer during one of their impromptu sessions at a neighborhood café. Their distinctive sound caught the producer’s attention, who offered them a chance to record their first single. There was no looking back after that. Despite the challenges and obstacles they faced, Bulky Sum stayed true to their sound, and their fans loved them for this authenticity.
