“Chasing Shadows”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Underneath the [D] midnight sky, [C] chasing shadows, [G] you and I
[D] Running from the [C] past, that we [D] couldn’t deny
[G] We were rebels [D] in the night, [C] lost in passion, [G] drowned in fight
[D] Searching for the [C] truth, beneath [D] the city light
(Chorus)
[G] Oh we were [D] chasing shadows, [C] chasing love, [G] chasing dreams
[D] Beneath the [C] stars above, we [D] were chasing shadows
[G] We were [D] running wild and [C] free, [G] lost in our own reverie
[D] In the end, [C] all we found [D] was each other’s company
(Verse 2)
[G] We were kings and [D] queens of the [C] night, [G] dancing in the pale moonlight
[D] Living for the [C] moment, [D] living for the sight
[G] Of a new dawn [D] breaking, [C] of a new song [G] we were making
[D] In the end, [C] all that mattered [D] was the love we were taking
(Chorus)
[G] Oh we were [D] chasing shadows, [C] chasing love, [G] chasing dreams
[D] Underneath the [C] moonlit beams, we [D] were chasing shadows
[G] We found our [D] strength in [C] unity, we [G] found our own reality
[D] In the end, [C] all we have is [D] this musical symphony
Fan Testimonial:
“My name is Rachel, and I’m probably the biggest Wry Comfort fan out there. I’ve lost count of how many shows I’ve been to, and every time, they manage to create a fresh experience. Their music, it speaks to my soul. It’s like they’ve captured the essence of life and put it into their lyrics and melodies. The way they blend old blues with a modern rock vibe is a testament to their musical genius. I connect with their songs on multiple levels – they’re my comfort on rainy days, my cheer on sunny ones, my company on lonely nights, and my party on a Friday evening. Wry Comfort isn’t just a band for me, it’s a feeling, an emotion, a part of who I am.”
