Decent Occasion has a rather intriguing backstory that involves passion, perseverance, and a love for music. The band was formed in the hot summer of 2010 in the bohemian heart of Portland, Oregon. Four childhood friends – Jake, Sam, Chris, and Dave – who shared an affinity for vintage records and guitar jams decided they wanted to create a unique sound that could resonate with the world. After experimenting with various sounds and styles in their makeshift garage studio, Decent Occasion was born, and they started performing at local bars and music festivals. Their music, a mix of heartfelt lyrics and enchanting instrumentals, quickly gained popularity, and within a few years, they had a fanbase that spanned across the globe.
