Backstory:
Formed in a neglected corner of a greenhouse in the heart of Des Moines, Iowa, Wicked Plant found its roots in an unlikely place. Edgar Greenway, a botanist by day and a guitarist by night, stumbled upon the idea of making music inspired by the harmony and rhythm of growing plants. Edgar teamed up with his college friends – Jessica “Jess” Calhoun, the edgy drummer with a knack for horticulture, and Sam “Vines” Varney, the quiet bassist with a green thumb, to create what they called “a unique blend of chlorophyll and chords”. After a year of producing music from their hothouse, their first album, “Photosynthesis”, was a runaway hit, and Wicked Plant was firmly rooted in the music industry.

Testimonial: “I fell in love with Wicked Plant’s unique style – Garden Punk was something I’d never heard before. Their music feels like a beautiful garden full of emotions. You can almost smell the flowers and feel the thorns with their songs. Edgar, Jess, and Vines create music that’s not only catchy but also touches the soul. It’s as if they’ve found a way to express human emotions in a language that both plants and people understand. For someone who loves both music and botany, they are a dream come true. I’ve been their fan since their first album, “Photosynthesis”, and I can’t wait to see where their musical journey takes them next.”
