Backstory:

Handy Efficiency was born in the throes of a college engineering project back in 2015. What began as a group of four friends working late into the night on a renewable energy project soon transformed into impromptu jam sessions. As the group spent countless hours together, they discovered a shared passion for music as strong as their zeal for engineering. The name ‘Handy Efficiency’ is a nod to their engineering backgrounds and the efficiency with which they claim to deliver their musical prowess. After they graduated, instead of taking up corporate jobs like their peers, they decided to take their garage band to the professional stage.

Hailing from different parts of the country, the band members brought their distinct musical influences together, creating a unique blend of sounds and rhythms. Their music often echoed messages around sustainability, clean energy, and the importance of innovation, reflecting their values and roots as engineering students. As they started playing at local events, their popularity grew quickly. Their commitment to their craft and their unique sound made them a local sensation, and they soon found themselves performing at larger venues and music festivals.

Band’s Favorite Fan:

The band’s favorite fan is Emily, a young environmental science student. Emily was present at Handy Efficiency’s very first local gig and has since then, followed them to every show. She says, “Handy Efficiency is my favorite band because their music speaks to my passion for the environment. Every song has a powerful message, and their unique sound is so engaging.
