Actual Offence

Backstory:

Actual Offence is an eclectic mix of four childhood friends who grew up in the back alleys of New York, finding solace in the chaos of their shared passion for music. The members – Josh (vocals), Ben (guitar), Greg (bass), and Mike (drums) – lived in the same neighborhood and found a common ground in the varying styles of music they enjoyed. The band was officially formed in 2008, when they participated in a local talent show and unexpectedly won the first prize. Encouraged by their success, they decided to pursue music professionally and worked tirelessly to create a sound that was uniquely theirs – a blend of raw emotion, fierce energy, and soul-stirring lyrics.

Genre:

Actual Offence’s music is a bold fusion of punk rock and indie pop, with a dash of grunge. They’ve become well known for their high-energy performances, intricate guitar riffs, and thought-provoking lyrics that seem to resonate with their listeners on a deeply personal level.

Song Title:

“Shadows in the Echo”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Long ago, in a [D] world I forgot,
[Em] Played my heart like a [C] jukebox slot
[G] Lost in the echoes, I [D] heard your name,
[Em] Shadows of love, in a [C] no win game.

(Chorus)
[G] Shadows in the echo, [D] echoes in the night,
[Em] Can’t find love, in the [C] neon light.
[G] Shadows in the echo, [D] echoes in my mind,
[Em] Can’t outrun, what I [C] left behind.

(Verse 2)
[G] Tangled dreams, in the [D] city’s glow,
[Em] The past is a stranger, [C] don’t wanna know.
[G] Your laughter haunts, like a [D] ghostly refrain,
[Em] In the echoes, I find [C] shadows of pain.

(Chorus)
[G] Shadows in the echo, [D] echoes in the night,
[Em] Can’t find love, in the [C] neon light.
[G] Shadows in the echo, [D] echoes in my mind,
[Em] Can’t outrun, what I [C] left behind.

Favorite Fan:

Their favorite fan is a girl named Emily who hails from their own neighborhood in New York. Emily was the first person outside their group to hear their music and has been their biggest supporter since day one. In her own words, “Actual Offence has this raw, gritty sound that just hits you in the gut. Their songs have this weird way of speaking right to your soul. It’s like they’re singing my thoughts, my fears, my dreams. It’s like they know me. And that’s why they’ll always be my favorite band.”
