Backstory:
Elastic Failure was formed in the summer of 2008 in the heart of New York City, the brainchild of two friends, Josh Fields and Sam Ackerman, both disillusioned with their 9-5 jobs. They were simply looking for a creative outlet to vent their frustrations about society, and turned to music as their weapon of choice. Their seemingly unusual band name is a metaphor for the tension they felt within their lives and the society at large, a tension that, for them, seemed to have reached its breaking point.
Genre:
Alternative Rock with a touch of Punk
Title:
“Strings of Rebellion”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Em G D A
In the heart of the city, under neon light,
Em G D A
We found our voice, in the midst of the night.
Em G D A
Tired of the grind, the relentless fight,
Em G D A
We strummed our chords, with all our might.
(Chorus)
Em G D A
Strings of rebellion, in our hands,
Em G D A
Playing our anthem, taking a stand.
Em G D A
From the confines of the day, we break free,
Em G D A
With our music, we claim victory.
(Verse)
Em G D A
Our sound, a call to the tired and the worn,
Em G D A
A song for the lost, the broken, the torn.
Em G D A
Our melody, a defiance to the institution’s scorn,
Em G D A
A harmony for the ones yet to be born.
(Chorus)
Em G D A
Strings of rebellion, we play loud and clear,
Em G D A
Our resounding echo, for everyone to hear.
Em G D A
To the rhythm of resistance, we dance and cheer,
Em G D A
In the face of oppression, we hold no fear.
Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan’s name is Emily Thompson. Emily once wrote to us saying, “Elastic Failure is my favorite band, not just because of their music, but their message. In a world where many feel voiceless, their songs give me a voice. They are not just musicians, they are revolutionaries. Their song ‘Strings of Rebellion’ is my personal anthem. In the midst of my own struggles, their music gives me strength and inspires me to keep fighting.” Emily’s words resonate with us, she’s exactly the type of listener we create our music for.
