Noxious Congress

Backstory:

The band Noxious Congress formed in the late 90s during the peak of the grunge craze. The founding members, lead vocalist Greg Stone, bassist Jake “Joker” Harris and drummer Charlie “Chuckles” Baxter, all attended the same high school in a small town in Washington. They would spend their after-school hours jamming in Joker’s garage, coming up with their own original tracks inspired by their love for Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

Upon graduating, the trio decided to take a gap year and hit the road with their music. They spent that year playing in dive bars, clubs, and at music festivals, gathering a fan base with their raw and energetic performances. They called themselves Noxious Congress as an ode to their belief that honesty, no matter how harsh it might be, was the core of any meaningful dialogue. The name stuck and so did the band. In the course of two decades, Noxious Congress has released six successful albums and remains a staple in the grunge rock scene.

[Em] Down the road, [G] where the sun does go,

[Em] Turbulent waters, [G] take me home,

[Em] Broken dreams, [G] and shattered hearts,
[A] In these waters, [C] we make our start,

[Em] Turbulent waters, [G] wash me clean,
