Backstory:
Frightening Mood came together in 2013, first envisioned as an eccentric, avant-garde project by childhood friends and music enthusiasts, Liam Marley and Will O’Donnell. The duo developed a unique sound, drawing influence from an unlikely blend of genres, from the soulful blues to the aggressive punk rock they grew up listening to. Liam, an adept guitarist, and Will, with his rasp and resonant vocals, decided to take their basement jam sessions to the next level. They recruited drummer Daisy Quirk and bassist Jimi ‘Rook’ Carson, completing the quartet. Soon, Frightening Mood started making waves in the underground music scene, known for their passionate performances, introspective lyrics, and a distinct sound that defied genre limitations.

Title:
“Whispers in the Dark”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em G
I hear the whispers in the dark,
D A
Calling my name, leaving a mark.
Em G
Ghosts of yesterday’s sorrow,
D A
Echoes of a stolen tomorrow.
(Chorus)
C D
In the night, can’t see the light,
G D
Chasing shadows, lost in fright.
C D
Voices rise, as the moon cries,
G D
In the dark, where my heart lies.
(Verse 2)
Em G
Underneath the starless sky,
D A
Where dreams crash and hopes fly.
Em G
I’m a ship lost in the night,
D A
Broken compass, no end in sight.
(Chorus)
C D
In the night, no will to fight,
G D
Barely breathing, holding tight.
C D
Echoing silence, lonely cries,
G D
In the dark, where my soul lies.
