Backstory:
Formed in Vienna, Austria, in the late 90s, Austere Technique is composed of dynamic duo, Viktor Braun and Hans Schmidt. Having bonded over their shared love for progressive music and avant-garde art during their college years, they decided to take their passion to the next level by forming a band. Their distinct style marries technical proficiency with an austere, minimalist aesthetic, thus the name ‘Austere Technique’. The duo rose to fame after being discovered performing in an underground club by a renowned music producer who was instantly drawn to their unique sound and creative lyricism.
