Backstory:
Colorful Empire was formed in the narrow backstreets of Austin, Texas, in the summer of 2013. Long-time friends, lead vocalist Jake “Jax” Johnson, drummer Matt “MadDog” Davis, bassist Louie “LZ” Zamora, and guitarists Eric “Edge” Garcia and Tommy “T-Dawg” Dawson discovered their shared passion for music during their time in high school. They were all part of different music groups, but a chance jamming session during a school summer fest made them realize their musical chemistry. They decided to create a band that would blend their varying tastes into a unique, innovative sound. Colorful Empire was born, symbolizing their desire to build an empire of diverse, vibrant music that resonates with people of all backgrounds.
