Backstory:

Firsthand Brain, a music group that remains memorable in the hearts of their fans, originated in the garages and basements of Massachusetts in the mid-eighties. The three members, Gina “Pixie” Welsh, a skilled bassist with a knack for songwriting, exuberant drummer Ray “Razor” Thompson, and enigmatic singer/guitarist Greg “Grim” Bernard, came together through a shared love for music and a desire to create something unique. Their formative years were spent experimenting with numerous musical styles and performing in local clubs, ultimately leading to a sound that was distinctly their own.

The band’s favorite fan is an individual by the name of Joe McDonald. Joe has been following Firsthand Brain since their inception, traveling to various locations to watch them perform live. He can often be found in the front row, singing along with every word. Joe states, “Firsthand Brain’s music connects with me on a personal level. The way they blend the raw power of punk rock, the rebellious spirit of garage rock, and the transcendent qualities of psychedelia, it all creates an atmosphere that is both intoxicating and therapeutic.
