Backstory:
Formed in the bustling streets of Seattle in 2012, ‘Competent Safety’ is the brainchild of college friends-turned-musicians, Jack Tiller and Emily Bowers. They bonded over their shared love for 60’s and 70’s classic rock and decided to form a band that would embody the spirit of those times while still resonating with the modern crowd. Over the years, they have released four successful albums and earned a dedicated fan base, but they have remained true to their roots, often citing their biggest influences as The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, and The Doors.

Title:
“Midnight’s Embrace”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse) C-G-Am-F
C
Out on the road where it’s just you and I,
G
Under the stars with the moon up high.
Am
The world’s asleep, but we’re alive,
F
In midnight’s embrace, we thrive.
(Verse) C-G-Am-F
C
Chasing dreams in the rear-view mirror,
G
Basking in the freedom, feeling no fear.
Am
Lost in the rhythm of the engine’s roar,
F
In midnight’s embrace, forever more.
(Chorus) G-F-C-Am
G
Let the night guide us, take the wheel,
F
Under the stars, let our hearts heal.
C
No map, no compass, just the open road,
Am
In midnight’s embrace, we’ve found our abode.
(Chorus) G-F-C-Am
G
In the whispers of the wind, in the silent song,
F
In the freedom of the night, where we belong,
C
Chasing the horizon, chasing the unknown,
Am
In midnight’s embrace, together alone.

Testimonial: “I’ve been a fan of ‘Competent Safety’ since their first album hit the shelves. Their music is a breath of fresh air in an industry that often lacks originality. Their songs are reminiscent of the classic rock I grew up listening to, yet they are contemporary and relatable. ‘Midnight’s Embrace’ is my current favorite, it’s poetic, it’s powerful and it perfectly captures the essence of what it means to be young, free, and adventurous. ‘Competent Safety’ isn’t just a band to me – it’s a reminder of who I am and who I aspire to be.”
