Grubby Stranger

Backstory:
Grubby Stranger is a band that was formed in a small garage in Memphis, Tennessee, back in 2010. The four members, lifelong friends – Jonny ‘Grub’ Grubman (vocals), Billy ‘Stranger’ Stranding (guitar), Barry ‘Bass’ Bassman (bass guitar), and Tommy ‘Thumper’ Thompson (drums), were all born and raised in the same neighborhood. Their shared love for music and the unique blend of their personalities gave birth to their band, Grubby Stranger.

They started by performing at small gigs, local festivals, and even in the streets. The band gradually gained recognition for their dynamic performances and unique sound, which led to them being signed by a prominent record label. “Crawling Back to Memphis”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[C] Down the old roads, [A] past the barren fields,
[G] I’m crawling back to Memphis, [D] with my heart on my heels,
[C] Left my love behind, [A] and a life that’s no more,
[G] Now I’m crawling back to Memphis, [D] like I’ve done before.

(Chorus)
[F] Oh Memphis, [C] my sweet Memphis,
[G] Your rhythm’s in my soul, [C] can’t ignore,
[F] Oh Memphis, [C] dear old Memphis,
[G] I’m crawling back, [C] back to your shore.

(Verse 2)
[C] The city lights are calling, [A] the sound of the blues,
[G] I’m crawling back to Memphis, [D] with nothing to lose,
[C] Left my dreams behind, [A] in the rearview haze,
[G] Now I’m crawling back to Memphis, [D] to relive my days.

(Chorus)
[F] Oh Memphis, [C] my sweet Memphis,
[G] Your melody’s the cure, [C] for my sore,
[F] Oh Memphis, [C] dear old Memphis,
[G] I’m crawling back, [C] forevermore.
