Fresh Zipper

Backstory:

Fresh Zipper is a band that was born out of the bustling music scene of Seattle in the early 2000s. The founding members, lead singer/bassist Kade Madison and guitarist Alex Schultz, met in a jam session at a local music store. They clicked instantly, and decided to form a band. Maddison’s younger brother, drummer Tristan, joined the duo and Fresh Zipper took shape. After years of intense gigging around the Pacific Northwest, the band began to gain a following. Their energetic performances, combined with their unique sound, caught the attention of a local record label, and they released their debut album in 2005.

Genre:

Fresh Zipper’s music can be described as a fusion of pop-rock and punk with a touch of indie folk. They are known for their catchy hooks, dynamic rhythms, and heartfelt lyrics.

“One Last Sunset”

Full Song Lyrics with Chord Progression:

{Verse 1:}

[C] Sitting on the rooftop, [Am] staring at the city lights,
[Em] Remembering the good times, [G] on this summer night,
[C] You’re leaving in the morning, [Am] to chase your dreams so high,
[Em] So let’s watch one last sunset, [G] before we say goodbye.

{Chorus:}

[F] One last sunset, [C] before you take your flight,
[Am] One last memory, [G] before we say goodnight,
[F] Maybe one day, [C] we’ll meet under the city light,
[Am] But until then, [G] let’s watch one last sunset tonight.

{Verse 2:}

[C] You say it’s for the better, [Am] but it feels so wrong,
[Em] The summer’s almost over, [G] but our friendship’s strong,
[C] We’ll keep on dreaming, [Am] under the same moonlight,
[Em] And remember this sunset, [G] on this perfect night.

(Repeat Chorus)

Fan Testimonial:

My name is Lisa Torres, and I can confidently say that Fresh Zipper is my favorite band. Their music is not only catchy but also relatable. It’s like they know exactly what I feel and put it into words and tunes. “One Last Sunset” in particular always gets me. It speaks to the impermanence of things, the beauty of friendships, and the promise of future reunions. Being a military kid, I’ve had to say goodbye to so many friends, so this song hits home. Fresh Zipper’s music has been a comfort during those tough transitions. Their energy and positivity are contagious and I can’t wait for their next album!
