Backstory:
Antique Disappointment was born in the smoky basements of old music stores in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. The band came together in 2017, consisting of frontman and songwriter, Alex “Rusty” Hall, drummer Sarah “Copper” Morgan, bassist Jake “Iron” Sampson, and lead guitarist Lucy “Bronze” Thompson. Their unique name came about when they discovered an ancient vinyl record in one of the music store basements, labelled ‘Antique Disappointment.’ It was a prophecy that they embraced, symbolizing their hopes to transform their own personal disappointments into something timeless and beautiful through music.
Despite the inevitable struggles of being musicians, they’ve managed to thrill audiences across New York with their unforgettable performances and unique sound. They’ve gained a reputation for their hard-hitting lyrics and distinctive melodies that weave tales of love, loss and the gritty reality of city life.
