Backstory:

Frayed Sea was born in the bustling city of Portland, Oregon, back in 2011. Four friends from high school – Tyler Gray (lead vocals), Ethan Parker (lead guitar), Jake Miller (bass), and Alex Williams (drums) – found solace in their shared love for music amidst the turmoil of their teenage years. Their name, Frayed Sea, came from their mutual fascination with the vastness of the ocean and the enigmatic, often unstable, nature of life. Their music has always been a reflection of their collective exploration into the depths of their experiences, thoughts, dreams, and anxieties.

The band had a humble beginning, playing at local bars and parties. Frayed Sea’s signature sound was finessed over the years, drawing in a dedicated fan base who connected with their raw, evocative lyrics and complex, layered melodies. By 2015, they were touring nationally and, to this day, they continue to inspire and connect with audiences worldwide.
