Backstory:
Ill-Fated Nail is a band that was born in the dingy basements of Portland, Oregon in 2008. The band is made up of four friends – Max, Evan, Billy, and Peter – who had known each other since high school. While each of them had different music tastes, they found a common love for grunge, punk, and progressive rock. The name Ill-Fated Nail was an inside joke, referencing a broken nail on Max’s guitar, a “bad omen” that turned into a symbol of their resilience and determination to succeed.

Despite their humble beginnings, they gained a reputation for their energetic performances and thought-provoking lyrics. The band had its fair share of struggles and member changes, but they continued to persevere, and by 2013, they had launched their first album. Now, they are known across the Pacific Northwest for their unique sound, defined by pulsating rhythm sections, creative guitar riffs, and raw, passionate vocals.
