Backstory:
Upbeat Value is the brainchild of childhood friends, Jake Patterson (vocals and guitar) and Simon Warner (drums), who discovered their shared passion for music during their high school years in the small town of Hudson, Ohio. They unearthed their unique sound in their school’s music room, which eventually became a sanctuary where they would escape to create music that was infectious and full of life. After high school, they were joined by Lilian Rose (bass) and Erin Fitzgerald (keyboards), two talented musicians they met during a local music festival, and with this, Upbeat Value was complete.
Their journey was not without its challenges; working part-time jobs to fund their music, the band members found solace in the creativity and freedom that their music allowed them. The band’s first major break came when they won a local battle of the bands competition, leading to their first record deal. From humble beginnings to now touring the world, Upbeat Value’s story is a testament to the power of dreams, passion, and undying perseverance.
