Backstory:
Nocturnal Illness hails from the grungy underbelly of Chicago’s indie scene. Established in 2008, the band is composed of four childhood friends: lead vocalist and guitarist, Harlan Jones, drummer, Dewitt ‘Dee’ Miller, bassist, Nina Collins, and keyboardist, Orville ‘Ozzy’ Bennett. Their band name was chosen to reflect the night-owl nature of their creative process, as well as the healing properties they believe music holds. Nocturnal Illness started out by playing small gigs at local bars and slowly amassed a cult-like following due to their unique sound and deep, introspective lyrics.
