Backstory:
‘Closed Government’ was formed in the grungy basements of urban New York in the summer of 2005. The band members, rebellious college dropouts, had a shared vision: to create music that would resonate with the disillusioned youth growing weary of the societal and governmental pressures. The band, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Mark ‘Greaser’ Grimes, bassist Terry ‘T-Rex’ Stanfield, drummer Samantha ‘Sammy Sledgehammer’ Klein, and keyboardist Evan ‘Echo’ Clark, had an undeniable bond and chemistry that was reflected in their music.
Their music career took off after a video of their live performance at a local bar went viral. Their raw energy, potent lyrics, and unique sound resonated with the masses, who were seeking something different from the mainstream music scene. The band has since released three critically acclaimed albums, each one an honest and fiery reflection of their views on societal constructs and governance.
