Backstory:
Specific Attention was born in a tiny garage in the heart of Austin, Texas in the summer of 2014. The initial trio, comprising of childhood friends, James ‘Rusty’ Ruston (lead vocals and guitar), Todd ‘T-man’ Slater (bass and keyboard), and Harry ‘Hazard’ Valentine (drums), spent countless hours practicing and crafting their unique sound. They drew inspiration from their shared love for progressive rock of the 70s, but they infused it with a fresh modern twist, making it uniquely their own. After a series of performances in local clubs and bars, they caught the attention of a local producer who helped them get their first record deal. Since then, they have won over a devoted fanbase with their riveting performances and thought-provoking lyrics.

Title:
“Refracted Mirrors”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] In a world of [Em] refracted mirrors,
[Am] Where shadows [C] dwell and time disappears,
[G] We’re weaving [Em] dreams and battling fears,
[Am] Searching for [C] truths in these unclear years.
(Chorus)
[D] Can you see me [G] standing here,
[Em] Behind the looking [C] glass, my dear?
[D] Shattered reflections, [G] they draw near,
[Em] In this world of [C] refracted mirrors.
(Verse 2)
[G] Echoes of [Em] past whisper in the night,
[Am] Guiding us [C] through the fading light.
[G] We’re prisoners [Em] of our own plight,
[Am] Seeking an escape, [C] an eternal flight.
(Chorus)
[D] Can you hear my [G] silent plea,
[Em] In this void of [C] endless sea?
[D] Tangled in this [G] intricate spree,
[Em] Of our lives’ [C] refracted mirrors, we’re yet to be.
