Backstory:

Stupendous Shirt was formed in a quirky little New England town called Maplewood. The band members, all childhood friends, had distinct personalities; ranging from a physics whiz to a high school jock, from a comic book nerd to a farm boy. But the one thing they shared, besides their enduring friendship, was their passion for music. One summer, during a weekend garage sale, they stumbled upon an old vinyl record that changed their lives forever. Inspired by the psychedelic sounds of the 60s, they decided to form their own band, naming it ‘Stupendous Shirt’ after a peculiarly patterned shirt which belonged to the lead singer’s grandfather.

An overnight local success, their music was loved for its nostalgic vibes and interesting use of harmonies. Stupendous Shirt quickly made a name for themselves, catching the attention of a local radio station that started airing their music. Their popularity grew, and soon they were playing at local pubs, music festivals, and eventually getting gigs at bigger venues.
