Backstory:

Born in the heart of Austin, Texas, Wet Map is a band that was conceived in a laid-back college dorm room filled with the sweet smell of incense, optimism, and love for music. Friends since high school, Sam (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Alex (lead guitar) introduced their roommates, Nikki (bass guitar) and JD (drums), to their passion for music. This led to impromptu jamming sessions that eventually transformed into the creation of Wet Map. The name of the band is a tribute to their love for adventure, symbolizing the unpredictability and fluidity of life, like a map getting wet and the ink running into unexpected directions.

Their first gig was in a dingy local pub, where they managed to pull in a small but appreciative crowd. Despite the initial hurdles, Wet Map continued to perform and write their music, garnering a loyal fanbase in their city. They gradually climbed the ladder of the local music scene, and their music is now making waves beyond the borders of Texas.
